Blockades in the East of the City!!

NOVEMBER 27TH EAST IMMOBILIZED

In our country day by day multiple abuses are committed and the only thing that we see as an answer, is impunity; young people are beaten for selling something in the streets to earn a living, prisoners saturate the prisons only for thinking different or are threatened for not allying themselves or belonging to the deplorable official politics that have as their only answer contempt, repression, and at best, promises that will never be fulfilled.

It is for this reason that we urge the people in general to inform themselves of the action plan that as independent organizations we have carried out, and to participate in mobilizations like the shutdowns on November 27th, 2013, actions in which we will continue making use of our right to protest, raise our voices, demand in the streets, so that overall we may denounce and stop the various offenses that the people of Mexico suffer.

Organizations of merchants, mobile vendors, housing cooperatives, cultural groups, transit lines, among other compañeros in solidarity, tired of indifference, joined the blockades in various parts of the east of the city, because of the fact that the authorities of the government of the capital, provide no solution to the various problematics that affect these associations, the majority are joined together in the Alianza Mexicana de Organizaciones Sociales—AMOS. Said blockade began at eight in the morning in various points of the three boroughs Iztapalapa, Tlahuac, and Iztacalo, 15 blockades were realized, located in the principal thoroughfares of these jurisdictions and where there is intent to include the blockade of shopping centers.

The action plan that we are carrying out was announced in various public acts, realized outside the borough halls of Iztapalapa and Iztacalo, where the various levels of government were called upon to solve the demands that as organizations we have had for several years, which range from the disincorporation of lands, credits for housing, spaces to exercise commerce, funding for culture, education, sports, among other things.

We denounce the attacks committed against the Frente Popular Francisco Villa Independiente-UNOPII, on November 7th, 2013, in which an armed group, in the presence of the authorities, utilized excessive violence and arms in hand plundered property belonging to our organization, said property is located in Delegación Tlahuac, Colonia Miguel Hidalgo, number 4B on the street Francisco Landino near the corner with Guillermo Prieto. These acts have not been explained, nor has land ownership been restored. The corresponding regional and central authorities have only given evasive answers, for which we demand that they listen and resolve our demands.

We hold those who claim to govern responsible for this and other actions, since they are the consequence of negligence, lack of attention, and contempt.

¡¡ SOLUCIÓN A LAS DEMANDAS!!

NO MORE HARASSMENT OF THE FPFVI-UNOPII AND THE SOCIAL MOVEMENT!!

NO CRIMINALIZATION OF SOCIAL PROTEST!!

FRENTE POPULAR FRANCISCO VILLA INDEPENDIENTE-UNIDAD NACIONAL DE ORGANIZACIONES POPULARES DE IZQUIERDA INDEPENDIENTE (FPFVI-UNOPII).
