While the commercial media establishes
“discussion” agendas, “reflection,” and “analysis” of a “reality” that is
nothing more than a lie where exploitation, contempt, and repression, the
pillars of capitalism, are exalted; while the politics which arise from the
great financial centers and organs of power foment the disagreement and fragmentation
of the social fabric.
Below the foundations begin to be woven for
identifying ourselves in solidarity as compañeras and compañeros of struggle.
There are the Zapatista indigenous communities with their example of more than
30 years of organization, there are the labors which within the Sixth
Declaration of the Lacandon Jungle are realized.
More than a few times power has uselessly tried
to provoke and destroy the Zapatista organization and project: flyovers and
military incursions, plunder of lands, introduction of social programs in
Zapatista territory, fabrication of crimes, thefts, prison, and paramilitary
attacks.
The recent aggressions denounced by the Morelia
Junta de Buen Gobierno are of great concern. The criminal band Confederation of
Agricultural Workers and Peasants (CIOAC) together with the leadership of the
Regional Organization of Coffee-cultivators in Ocosingo (ORCAO) left six
Zapatista compañeros gravely wounded, and harassing and robbing personnel from
the San Carlos Hospital.
Those currently responsible for this war are the
butler child Manuel Velasco Coello, and the foreman Enrique Peña Nieto, as well
as the local, municipal, national, and foreign groups of power.
In the face of these aggressions
WE CALL UPON

Every honest organization,

the Zapatista dignified rage
within
The National and International
Solidarity Week
“If they touch the Zapatistas, they touch all of us”
from February 16th to
23rd, 2014
In which according to the forms, ways, times,
and geography of each one we mobilize ourselves to denounce the
counterinsurgent war against our Zapatista compañeros and compañeras and their
advances in the construction of autonomy.
The Zapatista communities are not alone, let’s
make this sentiment be expressed with all the colors, sounds, and images from
below and to the left, where art, culture, the word, and the listen are made
compañeras and compañeros.
¡Vivan las Bases de Apoyo Zapatistas!
¡Vivan las comunidades zapatistas!
¡Vivan las Juntas de Buen Gobierno!
¡Viva el EZLN!
