JOINT DECLARATION OF THE
INDIGENOUS NATIONAL CONGRESS AND THE EZLN ON THE CRIME IN AYOTZINAPA AND FOR
THE FREEDOM OF THE YAQUI LEADERS.
(NOTE: this text
was read by members of the Indigenous National Congress in one of the
mobilizations which was done in Mexico on October 22nd, 2014, and
not, as the paid press reported, by representatives of the EZLN).
Mexico, on October 22nd, 2014.
To the students of the Isidro
Burgos Rural Normal School, in Ayotzinapa, Guerrero
To the Yaqui Tribe
To the National and International
Sixth Declaration
To the peoples of the world
BECAUSE IT IS WITH RAGE AND REBELLION,
AND NOT WITH RESIGNATION AND CONFORMISM,
THAT BELOW WE HURT.
EZLN.
October 19th, 2014
From the peoples that we are in our struggles of
resistance and rebellion, we send our mirror word from that part of this
country that we call the Indigenous National Congress, reunited because the
pain and the rage call us because they hurt us.
The disappearance of the 43 compañeros, students of the
Isidro Burgos Rural Normal School in Ayotzinapa, Guerrero,
kidnapped—disappeared by the Evil Governments, imposes a gloom of mourning,
distress, and rage. The hope for the appearance of the compañeros is the pain
that unites us and is the rage that is made the light of the candle which is mobilized
throughout the country carrying a cry of dignity and of rebellion in the Mexico
of Below.
We know that while the criminals govern this country
headed by the supreme boss of the paramilitaries Enrique Peña Nieto, those who
forge conscience exercising and defending education are murdered and
disappeared, and those who defend the water for a heroic and millenary people
as is the Yaqui Tribe are in prison.
The Mexican government has intended to minimize the
criminal repression against the Normalista compañeros as if they were just some
victims more of crime, as it has done time and time again throughout the
country. Some deaths more for the media, but we the peoples who have suffered
repression in multiple forms know that the criminals are in all the political
parties, in the house of representatives and the senate, in the municipal
seats, in the government palaces.
Ayotzinapa hurts us indigenous people, the 43
Normalista compañeros remain disappeared and the State acts as if it does not
know where they are, as if it was not the State that took them away, they
intend to make conscience disappear and today the disappeared are present in
the thought of this country, in the attentive look and the heart of those of us
who are the Indigenous National Congress.
In this country there are dangerous mafias and they
call themselves the Mexican State, for them, we are in the way, those of us who
are the peoples which struggle, those who have not had a face, and so that it is
clear to us, they rip us out, those of us who are the nobodies, those who see
and feel the violence, those who suffer the multiple and simultaneous attacks,
those who know that in this country something bad, very bad, happens, it is
called war and it is against all. A war that is seen below and is suffered in
its totality.
Today we reiterate that as long as our Normalista
compañeros from Ayotzinapa do not appear alive and, in the state of Sonora, our
brothers Mario Luna Romero and Fernando Jiménez are prisoners for defending the
sacred water of the Yaqui river, as long as they are being kidnapped by the
evil governments we will continue responding in consequence.
As in Guerrero, the repression against the peoples, the
pillage of natural resources, the structure of the territories, are operated in
the whole country by the Narco State without qualms, which uses terrorism to
manufacture pain, and fear is its way of governing.
That pain and rage have been converted into dignity and
rebellion against the war of extermination, as otherwise it is matter of awaiting
death, plunder, and more pain and more rage.
We demand the presentation with life of the
43 disappeared Normalistas and the dismantling of the whole State structure
which sustains organized crime!
We demand the immediate freedom of the
compañeros Mario Luna and Fernando Jiménez!
Their pain is ours, their rage is ours!
