Today November
28th, 2014, the sun rose over the windshield of our vehicle, a 1994
Jeep Cherokee pickup truck, parked in front of our residence in the Tatagildo
neighborhood in the city of Chilpancingo, Guerrero, with an anonymous message
written on a dirty piece of cardboard, written with blue ink, which said
in-print on the front:
“little
Marxist-Leninist paper guerilla motherfucker…my balls… FJ.MONROY HDEZ… OF THE
EZLN. FOR EVERY MARINE, SOLDIER, POLICE COMPAÑERO WHO FALLS YOUR LIFE WILL BE
SHORTENED BY ONE YEAR. SINCERELY. DEFENDERS OF THE HOMELAND
On the backside
it said:
ANTITERRORIST
AND ANTI-SUBVERSION INTELLIGENCE UNIT, CISEN, SEDENA, SEMAR, AND STATE
DEPARTMENT OF THE NSA. ISRAEL, ITALY, GERMANY, AND FRANCE. MOSAD POLICEI,
SURETEE. POL.NAC. SPAIN. CARABINIERIS.
WE ARE WATCHING
YOU…together with the mustached lady and “commander Isabel.” E.A…”
In spite of the
fact that the text and the material on which it is written could be made to
appear to be a matter of a joke in bad taste, it worries us because it is not
the first time that we are the object of threats of this type which have been
accompanied by actions and defamations against us and the authority’s
indolence, in addition to the fact that now it takes place within the
unconditional support and solidarity which we maintain for our student brothers
and sisters from the Raúl Isidro Burgos Rural Normal School of Ayotzinapa and
the fathers and mothers of the 3 murdered and 43 disappeared students and the
campaign which we have been carrying out since the month of August in
accompaniment which since over 7 years ago we have done for the victims of
social violence from the Committee of Family Members and Friends of the
Kidnapped, Disappeared, and Murdered in Guerrero.
Already in the
year 2009 we confronted a similar campaign of threats and harassment through
telephone messages, which we were able to resolve thanks to the intervention of
our compañeros from the Committee Against Torture and Impunity (CCTI) and the
Urgent Action issued by Amnesty International before the Mexican State, which
achieved the support of a great number of solidary organizations in our country
and in the world, in spite of the State Attorney General Office’s indolence,
which in the voice of its then leader, told us: “don’t worry, if they wanted to
do something to you, they already would have done it,” and whose denunciation
was never investigated or given follow-up, even by the State Commission in
Defense of Human Rights.
This harassment
campaign was reactivated in the year 2012, and again in the year 2014 we warned
of threats veiled in repression, on January 7th of the present year,
the newspaper Milenio, in a tendentious note from the journalist Pascal Beltrán
del Río, surely paid by the government of Angel Aguirre Rivero, defamed the
Coordinator of our Association, Javier Monroy, for being “the head of a
guerrilla cell in Chilpancingo” and 4 months ago we were attacked and robbed in
a strange operation in the Costa Grande, which at the time we abstained from
denouncing due to threats warning of damaging our integrity if we did it.
We hold
responsible the State Government of Guerrero, Rogelio Ortega Martínez, the
municipal government of Chilpancingo Mario Moreno Arcos, and the Mexican State
for any action which puts at risk or attempts against our physical or moral
integrity, our modest assets, both of the Tadeco collective and of our
families, compañeros, associates, and solidary friends, and we reiterate our
commitment to life, freedom, justice, and human rights, which keeps us
accompanying the Committee of Family Members and Friends of the Kidnapped,
Disappeared, and Murdered in Guerrero, committedly in solidarity with the fathers
and mothers of the disappeared and murdered students from Ayotzinapa and with
the members of our Community Development Modules in Guerrero.
We reaffirm that
we will continue from our spaces, ways, and forms, and in the Encampment in the
Chilpancingo Civic Plaza, demanding the presentation with life of our compañero
Jorge Gabriel Cerón Silva and of all the detained disappeared persons, justice
for them and those extrajudicially murdered in Guerrero and in the nation, from
below and to the left, in our capacity as Adherents to the Sixth Declaration of
the Lacandon Jungle.
AN
END TO THE AGGRESSIONS AND HARASSMENT AGAINST US
PRESENTATION
WITH LIFE OF THE DISAPPEARED FROM BEFORE, FROM NOW, AND THE 43 STUDENTS FROM
THE RAUL ISIDRO BURGOS RURAL NORMAL SCHOOL OF AYOTZINAPA.
THEY
TOOK THEM ALIVE, WE WANT THEM ALIVE!
MAY
CAPITALISM DISAPPEAR AND NOT PEOPLE!
