RsvR: Condemnation of the Aggressions by the GDF Police against Students and Compañeros of the UNAM

Within the national meeting of the Network against Repression and for Solidarity we declare:

On Saturday, November 15, around 12 o’clock outside the Che Guevara Auditorium of the UNAM School of Philosophy and Letters, in Ciudad Universitaria, a group of plainclothes police officers were photographing compañeros who work there. Faced with the compañeros’ questioning, the police responded by shooting at them, leaving compañero Miguel Ángel Ordaz San Agustín wounded with a bullet in one leg.

Our compañero is an alumnus with a History degree from that institution, in addition to studying a second degree in Latin American Studies and being part of academic research projects which are developed in the Center for Research on Latin America and the Caribbean (CIALC).

We denounce these acts as part of the systemic repression of the Mexico City Government lead by the mediocre jailer Miguel Ángel Mancera against autonomous and self-managed spaces, we hold him and the supposed Attorney General of Mexico City, the oaf Rodolfo Fernando Ríos de la Garza, responsible for these and for any aggressions against our compañer@s.

We condemn the State’s politics of violence against those who organize from below. The paid media’s cynicism surely will hide this cowardice and will continue lying, from their arena of deception, with their campaign of hatred against the youth and students who raise their voice against the crime which misgoverns us.

As the Network against Repression and for Solidarity, we unconditionally reiterate all our solidarity with our compañero Miguel Ángel Ordaz.

In the face of this politics of extermination, we here below will continue responding with organized rage.

If they touch one of us they touch all of us!

Police out of UNAM!

Yes to self-managed student spaces!

Against plunder and repression: Solidarity!

Red contra la Represión y por la Solidaridad
