I am Alejandro
Díaz Sántiz, wrongfully imprisoned, “Solidario de la Voz del Amate” adherent to
the Sixth Declaration of the Lacandon Jungle of the EZLN. Held captive in
reformatory no. 5 in San Cristóbal de las Casas Chiapas, on the 24th
of October, 2013.
The rulers do
not worry about justice, they have only insisted on looking after the
well-being of themselves, while, the prisons they are filling them with people who
have no criminal offenses, harming families for no reason or motive.
Today the 24th
of October I complete 33 years of life which God has given me, but the saddest
part is not being able to celebrate this with my family, instead of being
cheerful and happy it only fills me with anger towards these wrongful
imprisonments.
Today the 24th
of October it has also been 6 months since they assassinated our compañero Juan Vázquez Guzmán for
defending the San Sebastián Bachajón Ejido.
Now in the
second visit that Governor Manuel Velasco Coello made, here in penitentiary No.
5 which was July 4th, he committed to find the means or liaisons
before the authorities of Veracruz to obtain my freedom, something which thus
far has not happened therefore I once more demand from him my immediate
freedom.
On the other
hand I also demand the freedom of my compañeros
of the San Sebastián Bachajón Ejido adherents to the Sixth Declaration of the
Lacandon Jungle, Antonio Estrada Estrada who is prisoner in reformatory No. 17
in Playas de Catazaja, and for Miguel Demeza Jiménez who is prisoner in
reformatory No. 14 in Amate.
At the same time
I invite the people of Mexico to join in the call for justice and freedom of
the political prisoner Alberto Patishtán Gómez, who as we see, is again
forsaken of his right to justice.
FRATERNALMENTE
Wrongfully
imprisoned, “Solidario de la voz del Amate,” Alejandro Díaz Sántiz
Penitentiary No.
