Invitation to the Global Festival of Resistances and Rebellions

“We come to share our feelings and pains which this neoliberal system has done to us. But not only. It is also certain that we come to share the valuable knowledge, experiences of struggle, of organization, trials and challenges in the face of the capitalist invaders and neoliberals who have caused us so much harm.”
(EZLN, August 2014)
To the sisters and brothers of the national and international Sixth Declaration:
Our peoples united in the Exchange of Zapatista Peoples and the Indigenous National Congress “David Ruíz García,” discuss with each other our pains, our words, and experiences of struggle, rebellion, and resistance.
Together we know that in our rebellions are our “NO”s to the politics of destruction which capitalism does throughout the world. And we know that in our resistances are the seeds of the world that we want.
These rebellions and resistances are not only of Mexico’s native peoples. They go along as well in the steps of the whole continent’s native peoples and in all the corners of the planet where individuals, groups, collectives, and organizations not only say “NO” to destruction, but also go along rebuilding something new.
In this exchange which we know has been possible in great means thanks to the support of brothers and sisters of the national and international Sixth Declaration, we confirm that our mother earth, giver of all life on the planet, is in danger and with it humanity as a whole; we see that neoliberal capitalism is the one which provokes so much pain, so much destruction, and so much death, that it is the one which plunders, exploits, despises, and represses us.
In the defense of mother earth, in the struggle for humanity and against neoliberalism, there is no small struggle.
Brothers and sisters of the national and international Sixth Declaration, because we know that this savage capitalism of death is not invincible, as—in addition to the Zapatista experience—the rebellions and resistances which flower throughout the planet already teach us, and that your pains are our pains, and that your struggles are our struggles, and that your dreams are our dreams, we want to share with you the words, the experiences, the paths, and the joint decision that a world is possible with room for many worlds. We go along cementing the steps to achieve that world, it is necessary to share ourselves, know what we think, listen in order to know what our struggles are, in order to know our rebellions and learn from our resistances.
The peoples, tribes, and nations have agreed in this assembly to realize together with you the “First Global Festival of Resistances and Rebellions against Capitalism” with the slogan “WHERE THOSE FROM ABOVE DESTROY, WE FROM BELOW REBUILD.”
This gigantic global exchange will take place between December 22nd, 2014 and January 3rd, 2015 in the following locations:

Our exchange in this “First Global Festival of Resistances and Rebellions against Capitalism” will be between the Zapatista peoples, the peoples, tribes, nations, and neighborhoods of the Indigenous National Congress, the native peoples of the continent, and peoples, collectives, and individuals adherents to the national and international Sixth Declaration throughout the world.
In the upcoming days we will make known more details about this announcement. Our peoples of corn that we are upon sharing with you will be like the field which blooms, to strengthen ourselves in our resistances and care for our mother earth in this new walk that we want to share.
